Post-Concussion Treatment

Post-Concussion Treatment includes:

  1. Pretest of a computerized Central Nervous System Vital Signs (CNSVS)

  2. Identifying specific areas of deficits

  3. Designing an individualized “Brain Training” protocol for treatment

  4. Implementing the treatment utilizing research-based brain training technologies that include (a) Interactive Metronome,

  5. (b) Integrated Listening Systems, (c) LEXIA Cross Trainer for Logical Reasoning and Executive Function, and (d) other

  6. direct therapies with licensed and trained Speech-Language Pathologists, PhD & M.S. and Speech-Language

  7. Pathology Assistants, B.S.

  8. Posttest measures to document gains and to change or extend therapy goals as needed.

Here are just some of the symptoms of a possible concussion according to the CDC:

  • Fatigue

  • Lack of focus

  • A sudden drop in

  • Irritability

  • Concentration problems

  • Aggression

  • Lack of balance

  • Sensitivity to light

  • Sensitivity to sound

  • Changes in sense of taste

  • Changes in sense of smell

  • Insomnia

  • Mood Swings

These symptoms may commonly be mis-diagnosed as something other than a concussion. Is it possible that many of those children are present with undiagnosed concussions?
